Why Nourlume exists

Buying a supplement or a skincare product usually means sorting through confident claims, glowing reviews and labels that are hard to decode. Much of what you find online is written to sell you something.

Nourlume is an attempt to do the slower work: read the research, check what is actually in a product and explain it in a way that helps you make up your own mind. Sometimes the honest answer is that a product is fine, sometimes that a cheaper one does the same job, and sometimes that you probably don’t need it at all.

What we cover

• Supplements: vitamins, minerals and other supplements, what the evidence shows, and how to read a label.
• Beauty: skincare ingredients and products, and which claims hold up.
• Buying Guides: how to compare products, with the criteria written out.

How we work

Every article shows who is responsible for it, when it was published and, if it changed in a meaningful way, when it was updated. Each one ends with the sources it relies on, with links. We write about health carefully: supplements and cosmetics are not medicines, and we don’t present them as cures. When the evidence is weak, mixed or missing, we say so.

Who is behind Nourlume

Nourlume is an independent publication founded and operated by Volha Khvesko, an independent publisher based in Latvia.

Articles are currently published under the Nourlume byline, which means Nourlume takes editorial responsibility for them. When individual writers or expert reviewers contribute to an article, their names and backgrounds appear on the article.
